Big money in AK and you can go from Arctic like I did to 4 seasons...

down in the Southeast panhandle but a tad rainy. :)

Anchorage isn't bad at all as it's not nearly as cold as the interior and rather pleasant especially in the summer...lot's of snow in the winter but the roads are much better because they're well groomed almost immediately and the pot holes are covered over. ☺

In AZ I'm partial to Pima County myself...if you're looking for 4 seasons try Payson (Gila County), Cottonwood & Prescott (Yavapai County), Show Low (Navajo County) or Flagstaff (Coconino County).
